English Lessons, Sport, Recreational Activities and Excursions: a winning formula!

One of the secrets of success of our Berlitz kids camps is that all our activities are done in English.  In this way the kids will be immersed in English throughout the whole day, and will thus learn it in a fun and above all natural way.

 ENGLISH LESSONS

On the first day we will test the English knowledge of the kids by doing a written and oral placement test.  The kids will then be split into groups depending on their English level and age. English lessons will be held in the morning, every day, including Saturday and Sunday.  Only English will be spoken throughout the duration of the lessons. During our 2 weeks summer camp kids prepare for Trinity Certification.  Parents can then decide whether to register their kids for the exam once they get home.

SPORT

Every afternoon different sporting activities are organised: swimming, football, team sports and trekking in the beautiful and fresh air of the surrounding countryside. 

WORKSHOPS

The kids will have the opportunity to express their artistic side during the creative afternoon workshops.  They have the chance to do theatre, music, decoupage, cooking, camp newspaper and a wide range of other workshops.  As mentioned before always whilst speaking in English.

EVENING ACTIVITIES

After the evening meal a rich program of activities and games allow the kids to have fun and socialise together.  Just to give you a sample of what they could do:  treasure hunt, disco night, karaoke, fashion show, quiz, barbeque, obviously all whilst speaking in English.

THEATRE

In the 2 week camp at Castiglion Fiorentino,  the kids will prepare a musical in English. They will need to act, sing and dance, and create the scenery and costumes.  A DVD of the final performance will be made and sent to all the kid's parents.

EXCURSIONS

Also during the Castiglion Fiorentino camp, 2 excursions will be made. One will be a mountain bike ride in the countryside and the other a visit to the Etruscan Museum in Cortona. For the Ciocco Camp the kids will go for a trek in the surrounding countryside that makes up the establishment,  20,000 mq of fresh air and wildlife.
